Position Summary:

Tripalink Real Estate is on the lookout for a dedicated Real Estate Asset Management Associate to enhance our team in Los Angeles. This pivotal role involves supporting the oversight of a varied portfolio of real estate investments, concentrating on optimizing asset performance and value. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for real estate, excellent financial analysis capabilities, and a proactive mindset towards asset management and optimization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Assist in the management of an investment portfolio encompassing over 85 projects, with a total valuation exceeding $700 million across multiple states.
  • Financial Evaluation: Perform in-depth financial assessments of development assets, including the creation of pro-forma and financial models to evaluate property performance against business objectives.
  • Market Research: Investigate market data to identify trends and generate reports that deliver insights at the property level.
  • Maintenance Management: Review and authorize maintenance requests from third-party property managers or vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate the relationship with property management by providing clear guidance, maintaining ongoing communication, and effectively resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Budget Oversight: Review and finalize annual budgets to ensure alignment with business plan underwriting, maximize net operating income, and adhere to market and industry standards.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor financial and operational performance on a monthly basis, identifying deficiencies or opportunities, and formulating action plans to address them.
  • Consultant Engagement: Collaborate with external consultants, such as tax advisors and insurance brokers, and communicate financial outcomes to investors and lenders as necessary.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash management processes, including tracking capital expenditures, managing reserves, and handling cash distributions to investors.
  • Disposition Support: Assist in the property disposition process, including managing broker selection, marketing, buyer inquiries, due diligence, and closing procedures.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry advancements in technology, processes, and standards by attending conferences and subscribing to professional publications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, real estate, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in real estate or a finance-related role, with experience in multifamily properties preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, Appfolio, Juniper Square, and CoStar.
  • Personal Attributes: Efficient, passionate, proactive, detail-oriented, and quick to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and communication abilities.
  • Preferred Background: Strong financial analysis skills and real estate experience are highly regarded.
