The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising activities of all hourly employees in assigned departments. This role monitors yields and efficiencies in designated areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the work of all hourly employees in assigned departments.
  • Train, assign duties, conduct performance reviews, terminate, communicate policies and other work-related matters, and motivate employees.
  • Report machinery malfunctions to the maintenance department.
  • Supervise housekeeping of the department.
  • Ensure the safety, ergonomics, and job training of all employees directly under supervision.
  • Responsible for department efficiency, cost, and quality of departmental goals.
  • Review financials and performance, and develop and implement action plans to address departmental efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a supervisor role in the poultry industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs., bend and climb.
  • Must have the ability to think analytically and get along with others in a team situation.
  • May be required to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and wet environment.
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day.
