Location:
This role is based in South Dakota and is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.

This role will provide both administrative and technical assistance to quality systems within Daktronics' manufacturing facilities.

Assist the Factory Quality team in collecting process data for components or parts that present challenges.

Conduct measurement, testing, inspection, and sorting tasks that require visual acuity and fine motor skills.

Support Factory Quality initiatives, including the assessment of components and assemblies for initial articles and ongoing improvements.

Contribute to the Factory Quality Management System:
Non-Conformances (NC), Temporary Deviation Requests (Variance), Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA), and other systems as implemented at Daktronics.

Execute and document audits of production lines to assess compliance with quality control standards.

Organize data and create reports to fulfill Factory Quality requirements.

Demonstrate attention to detail and professionalism in communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to learn fundamental statistical applications and analyses.

Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The standard pay range for this position is $19.00/hour to $22.00/hour. The actual offer will take into account various factors, including relevant education, experience, location, and applicable local laws.


Students maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester while employed.

Qualifications:

Academic Requirements:
Candidates must be enrolled as students and registered for at least 12 credits.


Preferred candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Ideal applicants will be in their sophomore or junior year of study.

Only candidates with strong academic records will be considered. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must accompany the application for consideration.

Additional Requirements:


Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

Experience with computer software, including AutoCAD, is required; familiarity with Creo is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and self-motivation are essential.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.

Ability to effectively collaborate as part of a team.

Capacity to work with minimal supervision.

Quick learning ability is essential.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment effectively.

Physical requirements include the ability to: Work with or around various odors (solder/paint/solvent/Manufacturing odors).

Lift and carry up to 45 lbs. and/or awkward items.

Stand for the duration of the shift.

Meet all workplace safety standards.
