Position Overview:

Join Daktronics as a Quality Assurance Intern, where you will contribute to the innovative world of digital display technology and audio systems. Our commitment to excellence in design and engineering ensures that our products captivate audiences across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Quality Assurance team in collecting and analyzing process data related to components and parts.
  • Conduct measurement, testing, inspection, and sorting tasks that require keen visual acuity and fine motor skills.
  • Support quality initiatives, including the assessment of components and assemblies for initial articles and ongoing enhancements.
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System by managing Non-Conformances (NC), Temporary Deviation Requests, and Corrective Action Preventative Actions (CAPA).
  • Perform and document audits of production lines to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
  • Organize data and generate reports to fulfill the quality needs of the factory.
  • Maintain professionalism in communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop basic statistical analysis skills to support quality assessments.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet company objectives and customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits:

The typical pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour, with actual offers considering various factors such as education, experience, and local regulations. Students maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher may qualify for a $500 Academic Excellence Reward each semester.

Qualifications:

  • Must be an enrolled student, registered for at least 12 credits.
  • Preferred candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance is essential, with a preference for a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicants should be available for approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during the summer.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD is preferred, with Creo being a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and self-motivation are necessary.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and meet all workplace safety requirements.
