Job Overview

Our company, a leading player in the Meat Manufacturing Industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales with a proven track record selling Animal Protein (Beef/Pork/Chicken). The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail and/or Food Service Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and establishing strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities with potential clients in the retail sector.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the retail industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand market trends, industry challenges, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the retail grocery or CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of successfully closing business deals.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
