Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all staff, including the calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain precise payroll records and ensure that all employee data is current.
- Review and validate time sheets, work logs, and related documents to guarantee correct payments.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for management review.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
- Assist with year-end reporting and audit processes.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to enhance payroll workflows and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- 1-5 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (such as QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
