We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Tekwissen Group. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Charge Entry: Gather, update, and verify comprehensive registration and insurance/payer information, ensuring accurate entry into our practice management system.
- Insurance Verification: Verify and document eligibility for all payers, review benefit plans with patients, and determine specific allowances and/or restrictions based on services requested.
- Customer Service: Provide information to patients regarding the selection process for a primary care physician, assist with determining insurance eligibility, co-payments, share of costs, and other financial responsibilities for services rendered.
- Communication: Research and answer inquiries related to claims, eligibility, and referrals, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information in accordance with our policies, procedures, and service expectations.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a resource to new and existing staff in personal areas of subject matter expertise, participate in committees, inservices, and QI activities, and maintain professional standards.
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred, with some college business or computer coursework essential.
- Licensure/Certification: AHA BLS certification required within 60 days of hire, with coursework in medical terminology preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years working in a healthcare environment required, with 6 months of direct Client Call Center training/experience substitutable for healthcare experience.
- Skills: Strong organizational and written and spoken communication skills, with demonstrated mastery of practice management systems and CPT, ICD9 coding experience beneficial.
