Air Traffic Control Specialist

As an Air Traffic Control Operator with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in tracking planes and helicopters, and providing precise instructions to your crew. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in air traffic control management and operational procedures, communications and radar procedures, and aircraft recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control airborne and ground traffic
  • Assist in the installation/relocation of tactical air traffic control facilities
  • Process flight plan data and maintain logs, records, files, and tape recordings of voice communications

What You'll Learn:

  • Air traffic control management and operational procedures
  • Communications and radar procedures
  • Aircraft recognition
  • Takeoff, landing, and ground control procedures

Requirements:
