Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized workspace and uphold the kitchen's cleanliness and order.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items and their ingredients.
  • Prepare food items following recipes and quality standards under the guidance of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Adhere to food handling and storage regulations as per federal, state, local, and company guidelines.
  • Inspect food preparation areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safe food-handling practices.
  • Manage guest orders efficiently and courteously.
  • Visually assess all food items before they leave the kitchen to guarantee quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure all stations are prepared for service and verify the quality and consistency of recipes.


Professional Qualifications:

  • Coordinate daily tasks with the Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Supervise line cooks effectively.
  • Estimate daily production needs and ensure the quality of raw and cooked food products.
  • Ensure that food production, preparation, and presentation meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
  • Complete daily temperature logs and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
  • Hold a manager-level food handling certification.
  • Understand all procedures related to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu creation while maintaining quality and cost control in a high-volume setting.
  • Ensure proper hygiene, safety, and equipment usage according to Lucy's standards.
  • Assist and motivate team members to meet deadlines.
  • Regularly check expiry dates and proper storage of food items.
  • Consult daily with the Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef regarding daily requirements and events.
