Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to patients and families, ensuring a positive first impression of our healthcare organization.
  • Register new patients and update existing patient accounts, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and process patient payments, maintaining accurate records and balancing cash drawers.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year of PSR or related experience preferred.
  • Graduate of a Medical Receptionist training program or healthcare experience a plus.
  • EPIC experience a plus.
