Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our team at Sharon Green Apartments in Menlo Park, CA.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on the property, including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all trades and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the property, including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage based on the established schedule or as required.
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools.
  • Fabricate and repair cabinets, counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Maintain or assist in maintaining inventory and prepares related paperwork.
  • Keep storage facilities and equipment in an orderly, working condition.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors; knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements; knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work.
  • Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills a must.
  • Ability to work weekends required.
