About the Role:
Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead strategic initiatives and drive transformative change within the Enterprise Platforms Technology team. As a seasoned program manager, you will oversee complex technical projects, align cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-impact projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and leverage expertise in program management and technical acumen
- Drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
- Develop and grow a team of TPMs, while building the foundations for the TPM practice
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Strong technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
- 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
