What You Will Be Doing


The Lifelong Learning Program Manager serves as the leader for the Life Long Learning continuing education program at My Possibilities.

As Program Manager, you will work directly with the Life Long Learning Instructors and Program Assistants to provide a safe and enriching learning environment.

The Life Long Learning Program Manager will lead staff in the implementation of My Possibilities strategic vision including short and long-term goals under the direction of the Director of Continuing Education.

Essential Functions

Leadership


Work with the Director of Continuing Education to advance MP's mission, vision, and values and work to support the strategic goals set by the MP Leadership Team.

Collaborate with the Director of Continuing Education and Chief Program Officer to ensure the continuous improvement of the Life Long Learning program.

Create and support a high-performing culture within the Life Long Learning program.

Develop a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward achieving our goals by clearly communicating our vision, implementing staff development plans, mentoring and developing future leaders.

Provide oversight and accountability for members of the Life Long Learning Team.
Oversee, support and, direct the day-to-day responsibilities of the Life Long Learning Program Coordinator.
Oversee and manage the Life Long Learning budget.
Job Responsibilities

Provide effective and timely communication to staff and families.
Collaborate with other departments within MP to achieve organizational goals.
Ensure that provider notes are completed correctly and timely by each staff member.
Complete annual reviews with each member of the Life Long Learning program team.
Track staff attendance including PTO and Call Outs
Assist the Life Long Learning Program Coordinator in completing classroom observations.
Assist with class coverage as needed, covering both on-site and off-site needs.
Drive an MP vehicle as needed for off-site HIPster CBIs or outings.
Oversee the implementation of the Life Long Learning educational program in partnership with the Curriculum Manager.
Oversee and assist in the completion of quarterly and annual reports for HIPsters in the Life Long Learning program.
Oversee and assist in the planning and scheduling process for each new semester.
Collaborate with the HR team in the hiring process of Life Long Learning staff.
Support the Life Long Learning Program Coordinator in the training of new staff.
Participate as a member of the MP Crisis Team
Assist with day-to-day HIPster needs including but not limited to HIPster behavior, medical emergencies and HIPster personal care needs.
Communicate Life Long Learning program needs to the Director of Continuing Education.
Maintain records as needed
Ensure that classes maintain the appropriate supplies and materials needed to implement the curriculum.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree In a field related to serving the IDD community
At least 3 years of experience working with Individuals with special needs
Proficiency in the following technology/skills - Canva, Office 365, Google Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint
Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and, valid car insurance required
Must be able to get certified in CPR/First Aid and nonviolent crisis intervention within state-mandated timelines

Working conditions:
The Education Program Manager must be on-site during the normal working hours required by the Director of Continuing Education. Must be able to sit, stand, and bend throughout the day. Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Must take the lead and be comfortable with cleaning bodily fluids while maintaining the safety and dignity of HIPsters. This position must feel comfortable working as a team and communicating effectively with peers, leadership, HIPsters and, their caregivers. All potential employees must pass a background check and drug screen.
