Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Old North State Water Company is seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team in Chapel Hill, NC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control the treatment process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including pumps, valves, and control systems
  • Collect and analyze samples to monitor water quality
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
Requirements:
  • Grade 3 Wastewater Operator Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to work overtime and on call
  • Ability to lift and carry samples
