Job SummaryThe District Sales Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and developing a group of assigned Account Developers in the selling of company products and the execution of marketing plans and programs to ensure that company revenue goals and objectives are being met. This position fosters key customer relationships and cross-functional partnerships and participates in the strategic planning of key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Coaching, develop, and encourage excellence from a diverse team to drive business results.
- Directly responsible for the management, planning, and administration of sales and distribution of a designated sales territory.
- Manage sales, profit, and operational expenses for designated sales territory to ensure financial stability.
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships to drive business growth.
- Manage within labor and OPEX budget to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor market execution and merchandising standards compliance to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage and audit team member's timekeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years experience in consumer products/direct store delivery sales required.
- Requires experience managing people/budgets.
- 3+ years supervising sales staff.
- Packaged goods experience preferred; Some beverage experience an asset.
- Intermediate computer and database application skills.
- Ability to create and conduct sales presentations.
- Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
- Periodic bending, kneeling, pulling, and/or lifting of 50+ pounds and climbing.
