Area Sales Manager

About the Role:

As an Area Controller at H&M Group, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profit in your area through the performance of physical stores. You will execute the commercial plan for the area based on the regional plan and secure an omni customer experience through qualitative and efficient workforce planning and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take main responsibility for maximizing sales and profit in the area through performance of physical stores
  • Execute the commercial plan for the area based on the regional plan
  • Secure omni customer experience through qualitative and efficient workforce planning and operations
  • Partner with the sales market team to set annual budget and forecast process for sales, efficiency, and costs
  • Guide the area to reach top and bottom-line goals
  • Set hourly function plan with store management to enable strong store operations, efficiency, and a great colleague and customer experience
  • Secure strong execution by aligning function plan and schedules
  • Partner with the rest of the area team to set desired staff levels for all stores in your area, in line with sales market goals
  • Identify, develop, and coach talents and foster multi-function collaboration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, business, or economics, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of retail leadership or people management, preferably in retail management
  • Strong commitment and experience with providing a high level of customer service
  • Ability to coach and counsel staff and performance management and progressive discipline techniques
  • Inclusive, positive, open to feedback, willing to multitask and learn on the job

  • Store orientation and commitment to store management development
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to company-specific systems
