Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional results on the GIG Service Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at Fort Meade, MD.

This project involves the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative solutions to drive new growth opportunities based on program and customer priorities.
  • Manage work authorizations, approve timecards, and track charging time against plan.
  • Grow, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects to support the planning and implementation of the GSM-O Innovations Roadmap.
  • Work closely with technical resources to develop an approach, schedule, risks, and staffing requirements to successfully implement objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the DISA customer.
  • Understand and manage dependencies, risks, and performance standards that impact operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support personnel to ensure efficient planning and execution of transition and integration tasking.
  • Stay up-to-date on DISA implementation processes and E&I standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of DISN Network, engineering, and design principles.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers at all levels.
  • Full understanding of DISA's implementation process, Integration Testing and Acceptance (IT&A), and DoDIN network technologies.
  • Strong expertise in TDM technology, including Promina Deinstalls, DCN, SONET Nodes, CTP Nodes, NOKIA 7705, NGT-E, and SFPs.

Requirements

  • Active DoD SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and management abilities.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
  • Demonstrated expertise in full life cycle development, Network Operations, Administration & Maintenance, and Network Assurance tasks.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement, critical dependencies, and process changes that enable integrated outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple technical and operational teams to achieve program, project, or activity plans and schedules while maintaining budget guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of successful performance on Firm Fixed Performance Based Contracts with aggressive Acceptable Levels of Performance (ALPs) and driving new projects to transition into this type of contract environment.
  • Ability to assign tasks to contractor personnel across multiple time zones, supervise ongoing technical efforts, and manage contract performance on new task orders and projects identified by the customer.

  • PMP Certification.
  • DISA Experience.
  • ITIL knowledge and certifications.
  • GSMO.
  • External Referral Eligible.
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $108,550.00 - $196,225.00 per year.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
