Position Overview & Duties:

Role Description:

This position entails advanced skilled work in the installation, upkeep, repair, and management of the physical facilities and grounds of an organization. It also involves overseeing a team of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and assessing the work of skilled and semi-skilled personnel engaged in the installation or repair of facility electrical systems, construction, maintenance, and repair tasks within the organization.

Performance Expectations: The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of standard practices in various construction trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, masonry, painting, welding, sheet metal work, refrigeration and air conditioning, and mechanical trades. Familiarity with the practices, tools, equipment, and materials associated with diverse crafts related to renovation and remodeling projects is essential. Additionally, a thorough understanding of occupational hazards, safety protocols, ADA regulations, and code requirements is crucial. The candidate should have the ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and specifications, as well as to analyze and resolve construction and mechanical challenges. Strong organizational skills, the capacity to follow directives, maintain accurate records, make estimates, and operate tools and equipment at a highly specialized level are also required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid Driver License

Minimum Qualifications: The candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in the mechanical or building trades. Education may be considered as a substitute for experience based on organizational discretion.
