Our Business

We operate a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process over 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We also recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced A Level Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition to meet the needs of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Read and interpret Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders
  • Communicate with supervisors and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs
  • Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
  • Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
  • Handle tools, equipment, and fine motor skills
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
  • Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
