We are currently seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer to contribute to our mission.


Your Responsibilities:
Ensuring safety in personal, industrial, and nuclear operations is fundamental to our daily activities. You will promote Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools both within Westinghouse and among our suppliers. Your role will involve de-risking new suppliers through comprehensive technical evaluations and development initiatives. You will identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to supplier performance while leading the resolution of intricate quality and technical challenges.

Implementing dual sourcing strategies will be essential to mitigate risks linked to single-source suppliers. This includes identifying and managing project risks, approving supplier process documentation, conducting process capability analyses, and more.

You will conduct technical evaluations of new suppliers to assess their manufacturing capabilities, regulatory compliance, and associated risks. Additionally, you will lead supplier development efforts to improve quality management systems and manufacturing processes to align with Westinghouse standards. Your oversight will include both on-site and remote supplier evaluations to ensure adherence to technical and quality requirements. You will manage corrective action requests from both internal and supplier sources, conduct root cause analyses, and verify the implementation of preventive and corrective measures. Leading and escalating significant quality incidents will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring prompt identification, product disposition, and corrective action. You will evaluate procurement risks and collaborate with stakeholders to develop security of supply risk mitigation strategies. Working with cross-functional teams, you will identify dual sourcing opportunities, assess their feasibility, clarify requirements, and effectively communicate expectations to suppliers. Building strong relationships with our suppliers will be key, as will analyzing market trends and industry benchmarks to optimize supplier selection and performance.

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following qualifications to our team:


- Dual citizenship in Mexico and the U.S. is strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is required (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 6 years of experience is required; 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly.
- Experience in process capability analysis and qualification.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs, etc.
- Proven ability to manage project tasks, develop schedules, and control expenditures.
- Demonstrated capability to lead multiple concurrent cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
- Experience in authoring technical documents or operating procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Results-oriented and self-motivated with a critical thinking mindset.
- Effective decision-maker based on data and factual input.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Experience with nuclear products and standards is preferred.
- Project management experience is desirable.
