Your Role and Contribution

Our Land Development division is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to enhance our team. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license along with relevant work experience. The Senior Engineer will oversee design activities, manage project submission timelines, and ensure that quality assurance and quality control measures are in place to meet client specifications and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts independent planning and design tasks, reviews the work of colleagues, prepares construction documentation, and successfully brings projects to fruition.
  • Possesses experience with complex technical projects.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of applicable codes and standards relevant to project design.
  • Maintains effective collaborative relationships across departments and with project team members.
  • Performs initial quality assurance and quality control reviews of project submissions.
  • Assists senior management in developing project schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
  • Collaborates closely with project teams to clearly articulate and deliver the scope of work.
  • Advocates for and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to enhance deliverable quality and minimize design errors and omissions.
  • Conducts and verifies design calculations, technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates.
  • Develops and manages design budgets for standard scopes of work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the A/E/S industry with the ability to quickly assess, understand, and resolve intricate design and construction-related challenges.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software Packages for Site Layout, Grading, Utility, and Storm Water Management Plan design, as well as other discipline-specific programs is preferred.
