Position Overview:
We are in search of a Senior Highway Engineer with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and a valid Pennsylvania PE license (or the capability to obtain one) along with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Civil Engineering.

Work Environment:
Potential work locations may vary, and the successful candidate will be engaged in developing, coordinating, and overseeing highway design initiatives. Responsibilities will include the preparation of construction plans, right-of-way plans, specifications, and project estimates.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on all facets of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and mentoring junior staff on technical matters.
  • Aid in the development and oversight of scopes, budgets, and schedules for specific project tasks, supervising team members to ensure task completion; identify staffing needs and coordinate with management; uphold company procedures and protocols; assist with financial aspects of projects.
  • Manage design development and review assignments; perform highway engineering designs using CAD software (MicroStation, OpenRoads) in accordance with AASHTO guidelines and relevant local government regulations; conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design stormwater management systems; ensure deliverables meet technical completeness and compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.
  • May take on the role of Task Manager for smaller projects.

Qualifications:
Education:
