About Protecnium

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team for a large project in Washington DC.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily and weekly schedules and construction operations for field personnel.
  • Supervise and schedule grading, drainage, paving, structures, and other miscellaneous construction crews and subcontractors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Manage field operations, coordinate work with other company Superintendents and subcontractors, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Emphasize safety, quality, and production, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Assist engineers with quantities and productions, ensuring accurate project tracking.
  • Coordinate equipment and crews to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Attend status meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
  • Perform additional assignments as needed, ensuring the project's overall success.

Requirements and Skills:

  • At least 57 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction projects, with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of equipment necessary for production, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with Federal requirements and familiarity with DDOT/DDOE standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent team building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing project conditions.
