Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team at Virtual. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing human resources-related tasks, including employee relations, training, labor relations, workers' compensation, benefits, and recruiting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with employees and management to communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison for workers' compensation, reviewing claims and supporting the HR process for addressing WC-related issues.
  • Conduct new-employee orientations to ensure understanding of company policies, benefits plans, and enrollment provisions.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, compensation, EEO compliance, policies, procedures, disability programs, federal and state employment laws, and personnel actions.
  • Enhance employee understanding of benefits programs by regularly communicating and counseling employees and dependents.
  • Manage recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt, and temporary positions, including writing and placing advertisements, screening and interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, extending job offers, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Identify, recommend, and conduct training to help employees and management acquire necessary skills.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual affirmative action plan.
  • Evaluate department initiatives against established goals, recommending new approaches to improve efficiency and services.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Coordinate and assist with ACA and ERISA benefits reporting requirements.
  • Perform outreach to community sources as needed.
  • Process company payroll, ensuring compliance with taxes, withholdings, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources with 5 years of experience.
  • PHR/SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environments and requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of California Labor Laws.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational approach and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
