About the Opportunity

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced clinician educator to serve as the Nephrology Fellowship Program Director. Our well-established, collegial group of 12 nephrologists and 9 advanced practice providers in Portland, Maine, is looking for a full-time BC/BE Nephrology physician to join our team.

This position offers:

  • A team-based care model with a collaborative approach to care.

  • Our group is the largest in the region and provides a full array of clinical services, including acute and chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy, apheresis, critical care, and interventional nephrology, kidney transplantation, renal sonography, and kidney biopsy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the fellowship curriculum and evaluation system, ensuring the program meets all requirements as laid out by ACGME and Clinical Learning Environment Reviews.
  • Guide strategic planning for the ongoing growth and development of the Fellowship program, in collaboration with the Departments of Medicine and Medical Education.
  • Devote 75% of their time to clinical effort in Nephrology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible.
