Job Summary

The Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director of Liver Transplant to lead our Hepatology and Liver Transplant Program. As a key member of our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and clinical expertise to drive the growth and improvement of our liver transplant program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide collaborative leadership for the liver transplant program in conjunction with other leaders at OHSU.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the clinical effort and patient outcomes in liver transplant.
  • Provide patient care in the Hepatology clinic and attend on the Hepatology consult service.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and GI fellows.
  • Share night/weekend call responsibilities with other GI/Hepatology faculty members.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing Transplant Hepatologist at an accredited Liver Transplant Center.
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology and board eligibility or certification in Transplant Hepatology.
  • Unrestricted Oregon medical license or ability to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training in medical education.
