Clinical Director Job Description

Monte Nido & Affiliates is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Director to lead our eating disorder treatment program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership and a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the overall clinical quality of our treatment program through continuous improvement, staffing, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Directly lead clinical therapists through mentoring and coaching, and assist therapists in interacting with insurance payers.
  • Model normalized eating habits by eating meals to completion with clients and staff while working at mealtimes.
  • Conduct individual therapy, group therapy, or family therapy as needed.
  • Participate in discharge and aftercare planning with the entire treatment team.
  • Provide safe, affirming, and empathetic support across multiple populations.

Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a behavioral health setting, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of admissions and intake, Utilization Review, and 3rd party or insurance payers.
  • Previous experience with Joint Commission and regulatory standards compliance is desired.
  • Ability to manage budgets and utilize KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) is preferred.
  • Experience in an Eating Disorder program or other residential behavioral health setting is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices.
  • Employee selection and performance management experience are a plus.
  • Must hold a Master's degree in a clinical discipline, at minimum.
  • Active State license (or be license eligible).
