Role Objectives

As a Rigger, your primary responsibility will be to safely and effectively maneuver heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. Your proficiency in rigging methods and equipment operation will be crucial for the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute rigging operations to transport and position heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Assess and inspect equipment and materials to ensure safe rigging practices.
  • Establish and dismantle rigging setups, including cranes, hoists, and cables.
  • Stabilize loads using suitable rigging techniques to guarantee safety and security.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to strategize and coordinate rigging tasks.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members to promote efficient workflows and safe practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
  • Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve any rigging-related challenges that may occur during operations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports pertaining to rigging activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Rigger in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Skilled in operating rigging machinery, including cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items and work in demanding conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
