Role Objectives

As a Rigger, your primary responsibility will be to safely and effectively maneuver heavy machinery and equipment at construction sites. Your proficiency in rigging methods and equipment handling will be crucial for the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute rigging operations to relocate and position heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Assess and inspect materials and equipment to ensure safe rigging practices.
  • Establish and disassemble rigging setups, including cranes, hoists, and cables.
  • Stabilize loads using suitable rigging techniques to guarantee safety.
  • Work in conjunction with the construction team to strategize and coordinate rigging tasks.
  • Effectively communicate with team members to promote smooth operations and safety.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to mitigate risks and accidents.
  • Conduct maintenance and inspections of rigging equipment to ensure compliance and functionality.
  • Identify and resolve any rigging-related challenges that may occur during operations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports associated with rigging activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Rigger in a construction or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Skilled in operating rigging machinery, including cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items and work in demanding conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
