Role Objectives
As a Rigger, your primary responsibility will be to safely and effectively maneuver heavy machinery and equipment at construction sites. Your proficiency in rigging methods and equipment operation will be vital for the successful execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rigging operations to transport and position heavy machinery and equipment.
- Assess and inspect equipment and materials to ensure safe rigging practices.
- Establish and dismantle rigging apparatus, including cranes, hoists, and cables.
- Secure loads utilizing appropriate rigging techniques to guarantee stability and safety.
- Collaborate with the construction team to strategize and coordinate rigging activities.
- Effectively communicate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and safe operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to mitigate risks and accidents.
- Maintain and inspect rigging equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve any rigging-related challenges that may occur during operations.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports pertaining to rigging tasks.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Rigger in a construction or industrial environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Skilled in operating rigging machinery, including cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work in demanding conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
