Job Summary

Carolina Asphalt is seeking a skilled Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and paving machines to complete asphalt repairs in commercial parking lots.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our paving crew to complete asphalt repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and paving machines, to ensure efficient and safe completion of projects.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in the asphalt paving industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent overtime and weekend work.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a variety of outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards associated with heavy equipment operation.
  • Occasional travel to job sites, with some overnight work possible.
