We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at US Foods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our store, including managing front-end operations, supervising employees, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coach employees to provide efficient and friendly service at the registers and throughout the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and clean store environment.
- Manage front-end operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and shrink control.
- Recruit, train, and develop front-end employees and other employees as assigned.
- Assist in the annual inventory process, including preparation and execution of inventory guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of store operating plans and budgets.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- A minimum of four years of experience in a retail work environment, with at least two years of management/supervisory experience.
- A two-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and make good business decisions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends.
