Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients by evaluating financial data, processing loan servicing requests, and engaging in various credit-related functions to assist Credit Underwriters and the Sales Team. Adhering to established policies and best practices ensures consistency and timeliness in all work activities. Additionally, this position provides ongoing support for specialized programs such as FSA loan guarantees when necessary. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes aimed at enhancing efficiencies and achieving credit administration objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough financial assessments of client data submitted through the OnBase work queue, utilizing various software applications and systems.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for consistent financial analysis.
  • Input and review financial and credit-related information, compiling data reports and providing credit support.
  • Analyze cash-based balance sheets and earnings statements, performing accrual reconciliations as necessary, which are integral to the credit decision-making process.
  • Gather credit bureau reports, lien searches, and other relevant information to facilitate the credit analysis.
  • Perform financial assessments for FSA guaranteed loans as required.
  • Conduct annual credit reviews for relevant clients, evaluate loan classifications, and update lending systems accordingly.
  • Coordinate credit and loan portfolio administration tasks, including monitoring overdue accounts, document exceptions, collateral value assessments, and compliance with covenants.
  • Review exception reports and collaborate with the Credit Underwriting team to ensure data integrity across applicable systems.
  • Execute loan servicing actions (within designated Loan Servicing Action Authorities), including partial collateral releases, loan extensions, payment modifications, assignments, consents, easements, and other credit-related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Skills:
  • Associate's degree in agricultural economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential job functions. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in agricultural credit, finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Understanding of core agricultural crop and livestock industries, loan products, services, and credit operations.
  • Knowledge of credit processing, servicing activities, accounting principles, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, and portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
  • High integrity and strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to changing situations.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity while balancing business needs and risks.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve objectives and represent the organization.
  • Valid driver's license.
