Position Overview:
This role is essential in providing support to both internal and external clients by evaluating financial data, processing loan servicing requests, and executing various credit-related tasks to assist Credit Underwriters and the Sales Team. Adhering to established guidelines and best practices is crucial to ensure the consistency and promptness of work activities. This position also involves ongoing support for specialized programs such as FSA loan guarantees when necessary. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes aimed at enhancing efficiency, achieving credit administration objectives, and delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial assessments of client information submitted through the OnBase work queue, utilizing various software tools and related systems.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures for consistent financial analysis.
- Input and review financial and credit-related data, generating reports and providing credit support.
- Analyze cash-based balance sheets and income statements, performing accrual reconciliations of earnings data when applicable, which aids in the credit decision-making process.
- Retrieve credit bureau reports, lien searches, and other relevant information to facilitate the credit analysis process.
- Perform financial assessments for FSA guaranteed loans as required.
- Conduct annual credit reviews for applicable clients, evaluate loan classifications, and update lending systems accordingly.
- Support credit and loan portfolio administration by monitoring overdue accounts, document exceptions, collateral value assessments, and compliance with covenants.
- Review exception reports and collaborate with the Credit Underwriting team to ensure data integrity in applicable systems.
- Execute loan servicing actions (within designated Loan Servicing Action Authorities) including partial collateral releases, loan extensions, payment modifications, assignments, consents, easements, and other credit-related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in agricultural economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the role. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Experience in agricultural credit, finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Familiarity with core agricultural crop and livestock sectors, loan products, services, and credit operations.
- Understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, and portfolio management.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations, compliance requirements specific to the financial industry, and Farm Credit.
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all organizational levels.
- Proficient in developing and maintaining professional relationships.
- High level of integrity and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills.
- Adaptable to changing situations and able to maintain objectivity in balancing business needs and risk.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams to achieve objectives and represent the organization.
- Valid driver's license.
