Latham, The Pool Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our operations.

The Fayetteville location specializes in the production of fiberglass pools. Compliance with safety protocols, including the use of respirators and personal protective equipment, is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring the functionality of production machinery, facilities, and executing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment by fulfilling preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, systems, and production machines; adhering to diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications; diagnosing malfunctions.
  2. Identifying issues by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for irregularities; utilizing precision measuring and testing instruments.
  3. Dismantling devices to remove defective parts; employing hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools; assessing the condition of parts.
  4. Designing and fabricating support structures, including frames and workstation aids.
  5. Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, and micrometers.
  6. Adjusting functional components of devices and control instruments using hand tools and levels.
  7. Minimizing downtime by educating production staff on routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring adherence.
  8. Fabricating repair components using machine shop tools and equipment.
  9. Managing inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock levels; anticipating needs; placing orders; verifying deliveries.
  10. Optimizing maintenance resources by utilizing equipment and supplies efficiently.
  11. Providing mechanical maintenance information by responding to inquiries.
  12. Compiling mechanical maintenance reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  13. Enhancing technical knowledge through educational workshops and reviewing technical literature.
  14. Ensuring continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions and ongoing needs.
  15. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  16. Interpreting manuals and diagrams to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
  17. Prioritizing daily work orders based on performance requirements.
  18. Scheduling and executing preventive maintenance tasks.
  19. Maintaining stock levels of replacement parts for shop equipment.
  20. Contributing to team efforts by achieving related results as necessary.
  21. Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as HVAC and fluid pumps. Certifications are a plus.
  • Critical thinking skills for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks without supervision.
  • Effective time management skills to maintain a productive work pace.
  • Proficient in handling various tools and heavy equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and forklifts.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
