Academic Support Educator

Position Overview
Role Summary: The goal is to motivate and equip every scholar with the confidence, courage, and skills necessary to fulfill their aspirations; contribute positively to the community; and engage in lifelong learning. Responsibilities include providing academic and/or social-emotional learning instruction and interventions in the designated curriculum area or program; designing, delivering, and evaluating curriculum in accordance with district standards; collaborating with colleagues to implement instruction and interventions as needed; developing and executing individual scholar goals and objectives based on data analysis; monitoring the effectiveness of interventions and working with administrators to identify scholars for additional support; maintaining communication with guardians/caregivers to aid in the development of their scholars; fostering collaboration across departments, programs, and locations to enhance achievement; effectively utilizing instructional resources and technology; supporting and executing the objectives of the School Improvement Plan (SIP), district, program, and department; providing both in-person and online learning experiences when necessary. Participation in district, building, and departmental leadership initiatives is encouraged.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- MN teaching license OR willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission.
- If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.
