Join Our Team as a Special Education Paraprofessional

We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to fill full-time positions as school paraprofessionals. This role is focused on providing essential support to K-12 students with special educational needs.

Position Overview:

As a special education paraprofessional, you will collaborate with licensed educators to assist in the academic and personal development of students. Your role will involve addressing individual learning requirements, promoting self-care, and facilitating social interactions within the classroom environment.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $23, with weekly payments. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, during standard school hours, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support licensed teachers in classroom activities
  • Assist students in achieving their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere
  • Work with individuals or small groups to facilitate learning
  • Provide crisis intervention support to students as needed
  • Employ diverse teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or completion of ParaEducator Assessment during onboarding (provided by Zen Educate) or at least 60 college credits
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Professional proficiency in English is required
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is necessary; sponsorship for employment visas is not available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Behavioral Technician or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with children
  • Previous work experience in educational settings with special needs children
