Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Support Professional to join our team at Jobs for Humanity. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a vital role in assisting classroom teachers with instructional tasks, working directly and indirectly with students.

Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist in general classroom operational procedures, including setting up and operating audiovisual equipment, preparing and setting up art supplies, and supervising lunch and recess.
  • Student Support: Work directly with students individually or in small groups on academic and motor or social skills, such as math, science, English, color recognition, decision making, and self-esteem building.
  • Large Group Activities: Assist students and teachers in large group activities and projects, including art, physical education, and dramatics.
  • Instructional Materials: Seek out special instructional materials to assist students with particular learning problems, such as separate math skill worksheets.
  • Administrative Tasks: Type worksheets, tests, and various instructional materials, duplicate and assemble, and correct tests via computer.
  • Technology Skills: Possess basic knowledge of iPads, Chromebooks, and Google Suite.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Demonstrate ability to work with students, and computer and word processing experience is helpful.
  • Qualifications: Meet the Highly Qualified requirement, which includes two years of study at an institution of higher education, an Associate's degree, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
