Senior Hydrogeologist

Montgomery & Associates, a leading water resource solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Reno office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing mining water resources projects and collaborating with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage mining water resources projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, fostering a culture of trust and cooperation.
  • Direct, train, and mentor junior staff to ensure the success of our projects, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Prepare technical proposals, work plans, and reports that meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy, leveraging industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including government, company, and client-specific policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering; graduate degree preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in hydrogeology and related fields.
  • Professional geology or engineering registration, showcasing expertise and commitment to the profession.
  • 10+ years of professional mining consulting experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and a strong understanding of hard rock and lithium mining operations.
  • Proven communication skills, including technical writing and presenting technical information in meetings, effectively conveying complex ideas and data.
  • Professional experience conducting hydrogeologic investigations for mine permitting, mine dewatering, and surface water - groundwater interactions, applying advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to develop and/or capitalize on business opportunities, driving growth and revenue for the company.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test, if requested, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Ability to legally work and reside in the United States, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
