Role Overview:

The Head of Environmental Sustainability will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering & Operations, tasked with formulating and instilling the sustainability vision, principles, strategy, systems, and policies throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the formulation and execution of TSM standards across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations while advocating for sustainable practices.
  • Foster relationships with local community leaders, governmental regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the ongoing permitting process, ensuring compliance with schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks.
  • Develop and sustain sustainability programs that bolster local community initiatives and enhance opportunities for residents.
  • Assist senior management in integrating sustainability standards into various departments, including Supply Chain and Human Resources.
  • Represent the organization in discussions that may not be favorable towards mining operations.
  • Establish effective relationships with local leaders and manage interactions with regulatory and environmental groups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in earth sciences, environmental or public policy, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in mining or process operations, with a robust background in environmental safety and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing EHS performance and a comprehensive understanding of sustainable mining practices and ESG principles.

Compensation:

  • Attractive salary package, inclusive of a 30% Short-Term Incentive (STI) and a 30% Long-Term Incentive (LTI).
