CLAIMS SPECIALIST (HYBRID after initial training)
American Recruiting and Consulting Group is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to engage in a hybrid role for our esteemed client. Initially, the position will require onsite presence for training, transitioning to a hybrid work model thereafter. The Claims Specialist will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and negotiating bodily injury claims, ensuring adherence to legal standards and company protocols while collaborating with legal counsel on claim defenses.

The ideal candidate must possess experience in bodily injury claims, with a preference for knowledge in liability, property damage, and commercial auto.

Key Responsibilities of the Claims Specialist:
  • Engage with agents, witnesses, or claimants to gather pertinent information.
  • Document detailed statements from all parties involved.
  • Calculate and authorize claim payments within designated monetary limits.
  • Negotiate and resolve property losses with minimal oversight.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to ensure proper case handling.
Negotiation and Settlement:
  • Facilitate fair and cost-effective settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and claims specialists, to expedite claims resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation of claim investigations, legal proceedings, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding claim status, legal developments, and financial implications.
Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends impacting commercial auto insurance.
Qualifications for the Claims Specialist:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in bodily injury insurance, investigations, or related fields, with a focus on liability, property damage, and commercial auto (preferred).
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
