Role Purpose:

The Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff at the hotel. This position involves maintaining order, enforcing hotel policies, and investigating incidents related to property loss, theft, personal injuries, and other occurrences that may lead to claims against the establishment. Responsibilities include providing escorts for guests and staff, conducting property patrols, and performing safety and security enforcement duties to safeguard the well-being of all individuals on the premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough security checks throughout the property, ensuring all areas are secure, including locking exterior doors.
  • Monitor activities in the parking area to ensure guest safety.
  • Assist guests with requests, including luggage handling, room access, directions, and safety escorts to their accommodations.
  • Maintain a peaceful atmosphere for guests seeking rest.
  • Address guest concerns through investigation and appropriate actions, including issuing warnings or evictions when necessary.
  • Oversee the pool area post-closing, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
  • Inspect kitchens, banquet, and meeting spaces to confirm all doors and cabinets are secured.
  • Manage security-related incidents with professionalism and composure, particularly during emergencies or disturbances.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in English, both written and verbal. Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. A self-motivated individual with a calm demeanor. Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct. Willingness to assist colleagues and collaborate as a team player. Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet guest needs. Ability to understand and follow supervisor instructions. Adherence to quality assurance standards. Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Willingness to perform other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.
