Clinical Educator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team at Care Synergy. As a Clinical Educator, you will be responsible for providing clinical professional development and education services to our Enterprise-wide staff. Your primary goal will be to prepare employees for clinical practice and support them in acquiring the knowledge and skills to deliver superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Education to create learning strategies that meet the needs of adult learners.
  • Assist in assessing the clinical training needs of staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate education initiatives across the Enterprise.
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning theory, methods, and techniques to design and develop high-quality, effective blended learning solutions.
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audience's learning needs and design orientation and professional development programs.
  • Write instructional goals and create content that enables learners to become knowledgeable and proficient.
  • Ensure an experiential-blended learning model that is scalable to meet the needs of our mobile workforce.
  • Creates engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
  • Utilize feedback from learners and subject matter experts to continuously improve curriculum.
  • Coordinate and conduct ongoing education programs and deliver education to small and large groups.
  • Creates and develops simulation labs that will professionally develop and educate clinical staff.
  • Mentors and trains clinical nurses to ensure they have complete knowledge of their clinical practice and responsibilities.
  • Incorporate documentation standards in all learning strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of education activities.
  • Serve as a reference and resource for clinical questions and procedures to all clinical staff.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred or Registered Nurse with equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) years nursing experience strongly preferred. Experience in hospice, palliative care, and/or home health nursing preferred. Two (2) years in an education role (i.e., mentor/preceptor, clinical education) preferred.
  • Required License: Current Colorado RN license. Current CPR certification. Valid Colorado state driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift/push/pull minimum of 30 lbs.

Travel Requirements:
Requires 50% travel to Affiliate locations throughout the Front Range.
