Clinical Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all functions in the unit on your designated shifts. You will work collaboratively with other members of the management team to assess the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
The ideal candidate will have two years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of their unit and leadership/management experience. They will be responsible for making decisions regarding activities within the unit based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Assuming responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift
- Functioning as a resource person for staff members and assisting in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff
- Assuming responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when they are on duty
- Making decisions regarding activities within the unit based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to demonstrate good organizational skills, provide safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice, and display judgment and superior problem-solving skills. They will also be expected to communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
