Job Title: Assistant Director of Housekeeping

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping is a key leadership role at Bluejack National, responsible for overseeing the housekeeping team and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our public spaces, residential homes, and multi-unit rental program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping in leading the housekeeping team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our guests.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the maintenance of high-quality standards in public spaces, residential homes, and multi-unit rental program, including linen and supply inventories.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Enforce standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the housekeeping team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain open communication with guests.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new housekeepers.
  • Monitor housekeeping inventories and report any maintenance issues through MaintainX.
  • Prepare and complete reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, TEAMS, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Jonas and Power BI is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional customer service experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.

Working Conditions:

This position requires an average amount of physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. The ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs is required. The position also requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions and working with cleaning supplies and hazardous chemicals.
