Job Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to a leading organization in the tire manufacturing sector. This position involves supporting the deployment of substantial industrial machinery for capital projects. The ideal candidate will possess robust project management skills alongside hands-on design capabilities, while also supervising the design efforts of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess project risks with a focus on safety considerations.
  • Evaluate project scope, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Communicate efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel approximately 30% of the time, which may include international trips.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Project Management and Design.
  • Proficiency in project management, including scope, cost, risk assessments, safety, and timelines.
  • Experience with 3D design software, particularly Solidworks, or experience overseeing design teams.
  • Strong communication skills for both internal collaboration and external interactions.
  • A willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of robotics, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Familiarity with Vision Systems.
