Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Facilities Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of our mechanical systems within various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current mechanical systems and processes, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities, to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at optimizing mechanical processes, decreasing energy usage, and boosting overall facility performance.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including facilities management, operations, maintenance, and environmental health and safety, to design and implement projects that improve mechanical system reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments and feasibility studies for facility upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, taking into account energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide expert technical support for diagnosing mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective measures to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Design and establish preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems to ensure their reliability and longevity.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical engineering and facilities management.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and documentation for mechanical projects, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on facilities management, ideally in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities.
  • Experience in facility energy management, including conducting energy audits and optimizing HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks) and familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and energy monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and ASME.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a talent for assessing complex technical challenges and developing effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
