Photovoltaic Assembly Design and Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role
The Solar Array Photovoltaics Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and manufacturing process development of high volume manufactured, low-cost photovoltaic assemblies for space applications. This role requires a strong understanding of photovoltaic technologies and their applications in space.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed specifications for photovoltaic assembly designs.
- Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of photovoltaic assemblies into spacecraft systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging photovoltaic technologies and trends.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- MS or Ph.D. graduate degree in engineering or science.
- Familiarity with spacecraft solar arrays and the space environment.
- Familiarity with high volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with terrestrial solar arrays.
- Enthusiasm for hands-on prototyping.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
