Photovoltaic System Designer

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Photovoltaic System Designer to lead the design and development of high-performance solar array systems for our spacecraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and development of high-performance solar array systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and testing
  • Develop and implement design solutions to meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency
  • Design and develop test plans to validate system performance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
  • 5+ years of experience in design engineering

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • MS or Ph.D. graduate degree in engineering or science
  • Familiarity with spacecraft solar arrays and the space environment
  • Familiarity with high volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with terrestrial solar arrays
  • Experience with CAD design tools and simulation software
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
