Job Summary

The School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2) at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the school's senior finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and expenses, and prepare regular financial reports to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to senior finance leadership.
  • Operational Metrics Tracking: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the school's financial performance, and provide regular updates to senior finance leadership.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist in the development of the school's annual budget, and provide financial planning and analysis support to senior finance leadership.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
